Vehicle Detail
0 0 1 474 2705 University of Alaska Anchorage 22 6 3173 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Up for auction is a beautiful 1995 BMW R100GSPD. These classic machines are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this sort of unmolested condition. This bike is all original and super clean. It has the low front fender option. I had to look twice when I bought it when I saw it had 50,000 mikes on the clock. I bought this bike a couple of months ago from an older gentleman in Colorado who kept it in a heated garage and rode it in the summer. It was one of many motorcycles in his collection and he just wasn’t riding it enough. He was the second owner and had it for about 10 years. The first owner had it for the first ten years. I have several other BMWs and really couldn’t pass it up, it's that nice. I’m running out of room and cant ride them all so I’m passing it along for someone else to enjoy. Pros: Even with 50,000 miles this bike still presents nicer than almost any that I have seen. Wheels are clean and shiny and the engine, hubs and final drive castings have virtually zero oxidation. It has a Touratech oil cooler relocation kit. The final drive was rebuilt by Clem at Denver BMW (a well-known airhead specialist!) and a greasable and rebuildable driveshaft was installed. The rear end/drive line is good to go! The transmission shifts perfectly and this model has the infamous circlip installed. It comes with the stock BMW saddlebags. They are in ok shape…not cracked or broken, just not quite as nice as the rest of the machine. The top end was de-carboned and resealed within the last 500 miles with new base and head gaskets and push rod tube seals. All the fluids have been changed, new air and oil filters, valves adjusted and carbs cleaned and synched, and new throttle and choke cables. It’s got a fresh AGM battery. It has an aftermarket shock in great condition…a Fox I think. Also included is the original tool kit. Click the bike into neutral, twist the choke, push the start button and the bike fires into life and runs flawlessly. I wouldn't hesitate to ride this bike anywhere. The tires are older Continental TKC 80’s with 80% life remaining. The sidewalls are showing some age so new tires should be in your future sooner than later. Cons: Even though bike is very clean it is un-restored and does show some signs of its age and mileage. There are a few rock chips here and there and the front fender was not professionally painted. One of the chrome tubes on the left saddlebag mount is cracked. There are some small scratches and the finish is rubbed through in places on the handlebars, frame, luggage racks and engine crash guards. They are very small but I’m very picky and I’m trying to very clear on the condition. The stock graphics were unfortunately removed by the previous owner thinking they were readily available from BMW. Doh! They are a love/hate thing for many buyers but it is what it is. Clean and clear Utah title in my name. I have described the bike as accurately as I can but please be sure to carefully review all the photos and please ask me any questions before bidding if you are concerned.
