Easy to Read Full Instrumentation ……. 3.2 Liter V6 Aluminum Engine ………   Description: Here’s the Mercedes midsized vehicle, the E320.  The E Class represents the most popular entry in the midsized luxury car market.  This vehicle was recently traded and we brought it over from Atlanta.  The vehicle is clean and presents quite well.  I’ve sold the E Class for years and it is one of my all time favorite Mercedes vehicles.   But, of course, you expect vehicles this nice from Grove Automotive Group, Inc.! Options: Finished in pewter metallic and black colored leather upholstery, this VERY CLEAN 2003 Mercedes E320 features about everything that you expect in a German luxury sedan beginning with the smooth and responsive 3.2 Liter V6 all aluminum engine teamed with the 5-speed 722.6 automatic, driver, passenger, side and roof SRS (air bags), fully automatic climate control featuring a factory R134a refrigerant charge, 4-wheel ABS (anti-lock brakes), factory sunroof, power windows, central locking system, power mirrors, power seats, factory alloy wheels, factory sound system,  4-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, rear window defroster, driver’s information center, service reminder system, factory security system, and much more!   Yet ANOTHER Clean Southern Ride! This vehicle is riding on a BRAND NEW set of Uniroyal® Tiger Paw Touring™ tires!   Service and Inspection Report: We brought this clean Mercedes in for service and found that the prior owner had done the routine maintenance and kept the vehicle in good order.  However, we also found a list of parts that needed replaced that are common to Mercedes vehicles of this vintage.  We wanted the condition of the vehicle to match the appearance so we addressed each item as noted below.   For starters, the service reminder system showed that the vehicle was ready for routine service so we did an oil/filter change using the correct Mobile 1 0-W40 synthetic oil.  We also used the correct copper sealing washer on the drain bolt.  The vehicle’s oil system keeps track of the oil level instead of a traditional dipstick.  A simple command on the steering wheel will give you an oil check before startup as desired.   While we had the vehicle raised, we noted a very slight leak at the computer connection on the transmission which is common on the 722.6 Mercedes transmission, but also part of a routine service.  We did a fluid/filter change along with replacement of the plug adapter using an upgraded O-ring service part.  Not only did that fix the small leak, we serviced the transmission while we were at it.   These vehicles have an air induction system on each side of the engine and run dual air filters.  While we were under the hood, we removed the air filter box on top of the engine and changed both filters.    While checking for underhood items, we noted that there was enough vibration in the vehicle to justify replacing the hydraulic engine mounts.  This job requires the complete removal of the front exhaust system and while we were under the vehicle, we replaced the transmission mount, too.  The engine is now very smooth and isolated from the vehicle’s chassis just as Mercedes intended.   Continuing under the hood, we noticed some noise from the power steering pump which is common.  Rather than try some miracle juice to quiet the pump, we installed a NEW pump and reservoir seal.  We also changed the fluid and topped the system off with the correct fluid.  It is nice and quiet now.   While we had things apart underhood, we decided to install new Denso® brand spark plugs.  Mercedes designed the M112 engine to use two spark plugs per cylinder.  At this age and mileage, it’s time to install a fresh set.    We couldn’t stop with spark plugs, so we pulled the throttle body and cleaned both sides for a smooth idle and good throttle response.   Finishing up under the hood our Snap On Solus® scanner detected low voltage on the auxiliary battery so we replaced the auxiliary battery for you.  They are not easy to find and we’d rather you enjoy the vehicle, not looking around for the battery down the road.   Turning our attention to the climate control system, we noted a fault code for the voltage regulator which we traced back to a blower motor that was starting to fail.  So, we replaced the blower motor for you along with the cabin air filter.   Looking over the brakes, we found new brake pads front and rear.  It also appears that the rotors are fairly new.   Moving along to the chassis, we noted some noise in the front suspension which is a sign of lower ball joint wear.  We removed the front suspension and installed new upper and lower ball joints along with new lower control arms.  That quieted down the suspension and also tightened up the front end for you.    Continuing on the chassis, we ordered and installed a BRAND NEW SET of Uniroyal® Tiger Paw Touring™ performance tires illustrated in the listing.  We don’t use no-name tires made in some third world country that will fall apart on you.  We use a quality name brand tire that is representative of our commitment to quality.  Most dealers would have looked the other way and said that the tires “look good” as they rub their chin and lie like a rug.   While checking for burned out bulbs, we found that the low beam failure was due to a wiring fault inside the headlight assembly so we just replaced both headlight assemblies.  They are new and look great on the vehicle!   And finally, we installed new wiper blades.  Wow, that’s a lot of work but we are committed to making things right.   Shop around and then ADD IT UP!  Why buy one that needs work?  How much will that cost you in addition to the car itself?  The items that we serviced would easily cost you $4,500 if you did all of this after the sale.  Buy from Grove.  That’s the Grove Automotive Group, Inc. difference.
