Vehicle Detail

Up for auction, a 1952 USMC JEEP. Rare and desirable 1952 features on fenders, battery cover and grill hinges. I have pictures showing this jeeps original USMC hood numbers, which can be reapplied to hood. Rear has USMC lifting shackles and crossmember. Body had rustproofing undercoat. Inside Glovebox, a military maintenance sticker shows 6000 miles in 1963, odometer shows 8000 now. Nice shape overall, has had a recent cosmetic restoration, done to a good running and driving jeep. New brakes all around with lines, wheel, and master cylinder. New military seat cushions installed, along with original canvas winter top in great shape. No doors or sides. Body has a "motor pool" restoration, and retains bumps and bruises.. Front floors have been nicely patched, and hole in side has been repaired. Toolbox is good shape, as is rest of body Rear taillight openings were enlarged by previous owner. Original 24v electicals and waterproof distributor, starter. Things that need attention: electrical system needs a going over to check for frayed wires. Turn signals don't work. Overall a great, original jeep to use in parades and for four wheeling....needs tlc in the areas mentioned before. Sold as is, no warranties. I have tried to adress everything but may have missed something, so please email questions. Pickup only, CLEAR TITLE I have the original data plate set, did not install it yet... Also checked transmission, and need to replace floor bolts. I have extra parts available, thanks... On Jul-16-16 at 11:45:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted to reiterate that this jeep is restored for good looks, but still has dents, dings and paint defects. Floors have been repaired, as is the case with most 60 year old cars. It is not 100% original, and the price reflects that. It is restored as a utilitarian vehicle. It is not a museum or 20k restoration. Will need tlc in areas mentioned before, mainly old wiring and inoperative turn signal, gauge issues, etc....I am including an original regulator and generator with the jeep. Has a more modern military generator now.Non waterproof carb is installed. It's the buyers choice to use and enjoy as is, or to take it to the next level. Thanks
