1929 Model A Pickup This is a great truck with a clean and clear Nebraska 1929 Model A pickup title. The build started with a model a bed and a 30 pickup cab. The frame was built by a local hot rod shop with a kick up in the rear for that low stance the front axle and steering box are 46 ford with new kingpins and a new disk brake kit from speedway motors. It has split wishbones with draglink style steering with new shocks and a steering dampener. the engine is a 350 4 bolt main fresh rebuild bored .030 over crank was turned .010 rods resized all ARP bolts with flat top pistons. Vortec heads with a 3 angle valve job were installed along with a comp cam and valve springs. This was topped with an Edelbrock dual plane intake and Edelbrock 600 cfm carb with electric choke. A new flywheel was installed backed by a 700R4 lockup transmission that was rebuilt with a shift kit. The drive shaft is new built for this truck the rear end is from an s10 pickup with 4.10 gears it has been all gone thru new seals and bearings all new brakes. This pickup is a very reliable driver last weekend was the second year in a row it participated in the Tour Nebraska were it was driven 600 miles in two days touring the state. It made these trips both years without an ounce of trouble and has been driven to many shows in between as long as some daily driving.
