Vehicle Detail
Up for auction, a 1954 Willys military radio jeep. Body shows evidence that heavy radios and batteries were mounted in the back. Extra support brackets are in the wheel wells, antenna mounting holes are in the corner, and power cables are present. Suspension has rare rear coil helper springs, making jeep sit higher. Engine was recently rebuilt and has very low miles on it. New exhaust too..... Cost to rebuild was over $2500 Body has a "motor pool" restoration, and retains many bumps and bruises.. Front floors have been patches, and holes in side have been welded up. Original 24v electicals and waterproof distributor, starter, and carburetor. Army Fuel tank holds fuel but Will need a good cleaning out, maybe liner? Things that need attention: brake master cylinder, overall wiring and turn signals, fuel tank, rear springs are in need of clips. Overall a great, original jeep to use in parades and for four wheeling....needs tlc in the areas mentioned before. Repairs are well within the scope of anyone mechanically inclined. I just don't have the time to adress the issues, and need to move on. Sold as is, no warranties. I have tried to adress everything but may have missed something, so please email questions. Pickup only, CLEAR NY TITLE I have extra parts available, thanks... On Jun-17-16 at 09:53:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Wanted to answer a few questions bidders brought up...
