Nothing about the 2.3 - 16V was done for looks, it was all about performance. Compared with the standard 190E, practically every part of the driveline was upgraded. The twin - cam cylinder head was designed by Cosworth; larger disc brakes were fitted at all four corners,with vented rotors and floating calipers up front and solid rotors and fixed calipers at the rear, wider wheels, firmer suspension, limited slip differential, 5 - speed Getrag transmission, 10mm larger driveshaft , self-leveling hydropneumatic suspension, stiffer shock absorbers and coil springs plus heavier sway bars, wider wheels and tires. I'm the second owner of this special automobile and I have always treated it with special care, I love the car, but do not have the time to fix it, I was planning to park it in the garage and replace the brake rotors, brakes pads, wheel bearings, timing chain and all the AC O - rings. Hydropneumatic pump was rebuilt in 2012, have spare rebuild kit. THE GOOD....... WHILE IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING THE CAR READY FOR THE WINNING BIDDER, I DEPRESSED THE CLUTCH PEDAL AND IT WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND IT STAYED THERE !, I PUMPED IT A FEW TIMES BY HAND AND THEN PUMPED IT MORE USING MY FOOT AND NOW FEELS BETTER BUT THE CLUTCH IS NOT ENGAGING FULLY AND THE CAR MOVES, BUT IT DOES SO VERY SLOWLY. THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER / CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER OR THE CLUTCH DRY PLATE MIGHT BE HANGING ON THE TRANSMISSION SHAFT SPLINE. CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A WHILE!!!!!!
