Registered as a 1947, it has an early forties cab and a late forties bed/box. Has a mid forties 230 engine that was professionally rebuilt with hardened valve seats etc at 71094 miles so it runs fine with modern gas and has been correctly broken in since then. I installed a new clutch at the same time and the transmission was serviced and seals replaced as well. I put a disc brake conversion on the front end with the correct proportioning valves at the same time. It was bought by me with a 1968 dodge rear end with 3.3 gears in it, so it goes down the road and keeps up with traffic just fine. It shows 2400 rpm at an indicated 62mph which is actual 55mph according to my sons car. It has the original "pay attention" steering which is heavy at low speed due to the big wheels. Every thing works fine with the exception of the horn which I think is a bad connection at the button, I will check it out. I put turn signals in the cowl lamps which now function as park lights and turn signals. Has fog lights and an early forties ford heater with the correct switch for heat or defrost. The wheels are from a Chrysler 300 with aftermarket centers. The running boards and rear bumper are solid oak and the bed is oak with stainless steel trim. I have a box of old and new parts including what I took off for the brakes.
