Vehicle Detail
1993 Ford full size Bronco with 1992 Cummins 5.9 Diesel from a 3/4 ton Dodge truck. Engine is slightly modified, pump is turned up a bit, original turbo replaced with an HX35W, and a set of Pensacola Diesel +40 HP injectors installed. It runs good and is economical IF driven for economy. Bronco drivetrain is bone stock, original 5 speed and everything else. I have driven it for several years and have broken NOTHING! That said, if abused it could be broken! I have built several Broncos with Cummins engines, most the 4BT's. I love the 4B's, but the 6B is so much smoother running due to it's inherent balancing. And a fair amount more power. Chassis and engine mileage are nearly identical, I think 182K, maybe less, not more, working form memory here, too lazy to go out in the rain and verify! Also, odometer is getting hard to read, the LCD is failing. Still easy to read the first couple numbers to verify it is in the 180K area. Miles are original. Interior is original except a new rubber floor mat front to back. Paint is fair, forest service green, some scratches, a small amount of peeling, NO RUST. Body is pretty straight, minor ding on right lower rear corner "see pic" , and a ding in tailgate, also, see pics. It is a good freeway rig, 3.54 gears and 35" tires make for a good cruising speed. It is also a good off road rig, 4" lift kit, no sway bars, it articulates well. That said, I am an old guy and the Bronco has had an easy life while I have owned it. I go slow off road, and don't beat my toys! A fair pile of new spare parts, brakes, a lift pump, shoot, I forget what else, but there is a "Spare Bronco Parts Pile" on a shelf in the shop. BFG 35" mud terrains in good shape, matching spare. Has tilt, cruise control, power windows and locks etc. The engine has an AC pump on it, the chassis has AC, and there is a condenser mounted on the chassis BUT the plumbing has not been done, so AC is possible, not terribly difficult, but needs finished. 2" receiver hitch. If you want to come check it out in Eugene Oregon feel free. I am retired and around most of the time. A rare and very capable if somewhat uncivilized vehicle. Well built, nothing fancy. Back seat is included, not installed. Brackets included, not installed. I pulled it when the new floor mats went in, and never put it back in as I camped out of it and sometimes slept in the back.
