My 2002 VW Passat GLS, 1.8L Turbo is for sale It is made in Germany I had this car for 14 years. It is in Cocoa Beach, Florida 32931 now This car was not driven much with 79.600 miles on it Just put NEW front tires (in February of 2016) I discovered oil leaks under the car and took it to the closest mechanic in Cocoa Beach. He diagnosed a hole in a transmission oil pressure line (part 8D0317823B) and quoted $583.29 to fix the problem (see estimate attached). The part (8D0317823B) is $235.65 as quoted to the mechanic by the closest VW dealer in Melbourne. The rest is labor. While the car can be driven, it requires repairs to the transmission oil pressure line. The local mechanic who inspected the car has advised me not to drive before the transmission oil pressure line is replaced. So, you would need a tow to take it. Car has had oil changes done regularly; I still have a manual for it, a thick leather bind book, and both original vw flip keys. AC and heater work well The body is in far from perfect condition: scratches on the back and front bumper, dent on the hood (visible on the picture), etc. It is a good deal for someone who can change the transmission oil pressure line himself to save on labor costs.
