NO RESERVE California Buyers please read the note below highlighted in Red as I will not be providing smog check. Here is a beautiful rust free 1976 BMW 2002 up for grabs, always been in California, I am the third owner. It was originally Red metallic as shown. I hesitated and did not paint the Hood and inside the trunk so that the buyer knows that the car was never hit as all the paint inside the hood and trunk area is original. New carpet, Alcantara Beige headliner, New Windshield and new gaskets for the Windshield and back glass. New front door Seals and trunk seals are included with the sale (purchased on ebay for $240.00) which I can not install due to having tennis elbow pain. The car runs and drives excellent and idles at 700 RPM smoothly. It has a 4 speed transmission and benefits from a new set of after market BBS styled aftermarket (Not real BBS) wheels with new tires. The suspension is tight and the car drives beautifully and stops straight. Steering box needs to be tightened because it has some slack which I will do this week prior to delivering to the final bidder/ buyer. All gauges in the cluster work with the exception of the temperature gauge since it has been wired to the new temp. gauges instead. Please come, inspect and drive this car in person. Matching engine and Vin number car. There is also another dash which is in better shape than the one in the car which is also shown and included in the auction. This car was optioned with factory A/C and Sunroof and all though the A/C compressor and bracket are missing it still has all the condenser, Electric fan, A/C hoses, dryer and wiring. The A/C fan is disconnected and not functional since there is no A/C compressor. The heater and blower work properly. NOTE TO CALIFORNIA BUYERS ONLY: The car requires Smog Check in California and due to not having smog (emission equipment) as the vehicle is missing it's air pump and catalytic convertered exhaust manifold. I will not be providing smog check to California buyers and will sell it As-is. The buyers/bidders choosing to register the vehicle in California have to bear the responsibility of getting their own smog check.
