Beautiful, well maintained, 1999 Honda GL1500C Valkyrie up for auction. Very nice original, unmolested condition with 18,563 miles. Rare Light Gold /Black color combo with factory hand stripes, no dings dents or chips on the paint. The early Valks like this '99 had metal fenders, not plastic like the 2001's. Runs perfectly, needs nothing but a new rider with knees that work a little better than mine. I have loved, cherished and pampered this bike for the last ten years but time to let someone else enjoy this big road burner. I bought the bike from a friend in Ft. Worth at 3,500 miles when he was 70, so I have added a little over 15,000 miles during my ten years of ownership. It has not been my only bike during this time but it has been my favorite. All tire changes and lubrication, including rear axle spline lubrication have been performed at Honda of Houston, most every Spring. All fluids changed mid March 2016 with a new set of spark plugs as well. New Dunlop E3 rear tire at the end of last season and the Mettzler Marathon has maybe 2,000 miles total. I would rate them as 90% remaining tread on the rear and 80% left on the front. Battery is starting its third season and has been on a nice float charger since new. Plenty of brake pad on both the front and rear calipers. The bike has been ridden a few times a month, all year round since I have owned her and fresh gas in the tank filled to the top has been the way I do things. I have never had carb problems or stale gas in the fuel system. No exhaust pipes have been replaced or cut and the carbs are orig. stock jets. All crankcase vent system, purge and PAIR valves are stock. I think this helps the oil stay cleaner. Lots of extras on this bike in addition to the nicer paint scheme which I think was several hundred dollars more as a purchase option. Heavy duty leather Honda Valkyrie saddlebags, chrome ignition and petcock panels, chrome transmission covers both sides, chrome swing arm pivot covers, chrome dip stick and filler cap, chrome radiator surrounds and radiator cap, new stainless steel radiator screen 03/16 &. Check out the hard to find original Hondaline rear luggage carrier and Honda factory windshield. Note the Kuryakin highway pegs & Cobras lights and bar which are nice when you are running down the highway. The lights have been installed with the proper relay inside the headlight bucket to save load from the handlebar switch gear. All told I have $1,500 easily on the accessories on the bike. I will also include the nice welded sub frame jack attachment that allows you to raise and lower the bike safely and the factory shop manual. The flaws are as follows; scrape in outer edge of right saddle bag and scratches on right engine guard due to a roll over when I was washing the bike. There are some marks on the sides of the mufflers from boot heels. Check the photos.
