1979 Honda CBX1000 - This fully restored motor has a polished crank from Tim's CBX with all new bearings, rings, and seals. Rubber parts are all new right down to the Viton valve guide seals, carb tubes, and even the oil screener basket. Both master cylinders are rebuilt with new tank, seals, etc. Many of the engine parts have been powder coated or chromed. I also added a custom side oil pressure gauge and it has custom K&N air filters. I have pictures of each step of the rebuild process and can send you a video of the bike starting and running. This bike comes with the original shop manual, a valve spacer kit, clutch tool, valve tools, extra oil filters, spark plugs, and generator brush kit. The paint on the gas tank and front fender is new (original color--Glory Red), with a new original gas cap. I also have the original air cleaner box, and spare touch up paint. The exhaust 6 into 1 Kirker was purchased many years ago from Tim's CBX and was never installed until now. The tires are like new, but I don't know how old they are. The bike has only been ridden a few miles since the rebuild for testing purposes. I have all new decals and stripes, but will let a steadier hand apply. It has low original miles of ~4860. I have all of the receipts for the parts and work that was done. Q: Looks very clean -1980 engine? 1980 tail piece? A: I powder coated the motor black so it looks like a 1980 but its a 79 also the tailpiece is a 79. The bike came with all the parts shown in the pictures and I compared them to 20 other red 79s and they are the same.
