You are viewing a 2 owner 1972 280SE, yes it does have a 280SEL tag on the trunk but it is an SE, it was missing and I had the SEL tag laying around. Ok so this car was purchased by the 2nd owner in California in the early 2000s from the original owner with 27000 miles. The car had sat in a barn for a number of years until it was pulled out by the second owner. At the time she just drove it and did not take into consideration was the dryness of the interior, if she would have treated the seats they probably would have lasted and not look the way they do now. It is a shame although I have found MBtex seat covers online in the red for under $1000 for the front and rear, although they would not be the original leather they would be period correct and look great. Now lets get to the good stuff almost everything works on this 280SE, I did some repairs to some of the non working windows and they now all work as they should, the original becker radio works as it should, and this car has cold A/C! All of the lights work blinkers, brakes, headlights, brights, etc. This car has only been in New Mexico and California and does not have any rust, it is straight, clean and solid!
