Hello and thanks for looking at this 2008 BMW 535XI wagon. This car was being driven by the dealership owners wife for the last few months until a couple weeks ago when the engine lost oil pressure. He had it towed to the shop where they confirmed that damage had been done by seeing metal shaving in the oil pan. THIS CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS WITH A BAD ENGINE. We were unable to find anyone locally who can do this job at a reasonable rate so we've decided to cut our losses and sell it. It does still start and run, but it has a loud rattle in the lower end so it will need to be either rebuilt or replaced. Used engines for this car range from $2000-3000 depending on mileage but the labor is quite a job. That said, this is a car worth fixing, it is in remarkably good shape and was in perfect mechanical shape prior to the engine problem. We just installed new tires on it a couple months ago as well. These cars typically sell for 12-15k, we are offering it with NO RESERVE so bid to own it and get a great opportunity to have an incredible BMW cheap after it's fixed. Hello, thanks for your interest.1) Yes the vehicle can be picked up between 7:30AM-8PM Mon-Friday and 7:30AM-7PM Saturday 2) Yes, the car still starts and runs and can be driven on a trailer easily. There is a rattle noise when running due to not having oil pressure so obviously you wouldn't want to drive it any further than on a trailer though 3) Yes, everything is still together exactly like it's supposed to be. I am attaching the work orders for what we've had done to the car. After reading them a little more closely it looks like the technician found metal shaving in the oil filter and that's what he based his diagnosis on.
