1997 Maxima GXE, Dark Green with Tan Leather, automatic transmission. Current mileage is 263,000 miles. I bought it in 2000 with 30,000 miles on it and have driven it daily since then.Recent repairs/maintenance: New alternator, new battery, new ignition switch module, recent transmission flush and engine oil change.The engine runs great, doesn’t seem to burn any oil but has a leak that does drip about a quart between changes. May need a new muffler soon, sounds slightly louder the last couple of years.Original transmission still shifts fine, but there’s a brief “transmission fault” light that sometimes blinks at startup for the last couple of years. The“Service Engine” light has been on for about seven years. Never been wrecked or any bodywork done. Small dent with a little rust on front of hood, clearcoat peeling off rear bumper. The gas struts that hold up the hood no longer work, so I carry a 2x4 in the trunk to keep the hood propped open. The originally silver plastic hubcaps have faded to light gray, tires in good shape and still have maybe 40% life left. The front grille chrome coating is peeling, the "Nissan" grille badge fell off a while ago, and the right rear taillight assembly has a small chunk of the clear plastic cover that was broken out about 10 years ago that doesn't affect the function. Leather on top of rear seats has dried out, cracked and discolored from sun exposure.Driver’s seat back side bolster has significant tear in leather, and a small tear in the seat. The passenger’s seat bottom has small tear in the leather. The rear power windows are inoperable, with the lift mechanism locked in the closed position.Other inoperable accessories: Cruise control, clock, radio display (radio works fine but display doesn’t work - tune using scan button and save stations to memory buttons), radio antenna motor disconnected but can be raised/lowered by hand. Stuff that DOES work fine: Power driver’s seat, power locks, front power windows, heat, A/C, all lights. Buyer will need to arrange for pickup (no delivery available). All service records, Haynes Service Manual, and owner’s manual included.
