Vehicle Detail
This is a two owner Eurovan Camper that in my opinion is the nicest and lowest mile example available in the country (a dealer owned the vehicle for 3 months in between both owners). We are the second owners. It has 29K original documented miles and was purchased new in Northern California by a meticulous VW enthusiast. Fluids have always been changed every 3K miles and we utilize fully synthetic oils. The transmission fluid has also been changed and special attention has been paid to keep the drivetrain in perfect condition. It comes with a set of factory aluminum wheels from a Eurovan Multivan as I believe these look much better than the original steel camper wheels. It also has the permanently mounted full length awning for keeping the sun or rain off of your site and out of the vehicle. We just replaced the brakes front and back with OEM Volkswagen parts and recharged the air conditioning system so the A/C blows cold. If you are looking for a fun loving vehicle to get away in, look no further, you will not find a nicer one and it is well worth it to pay a premium for one with under 30,000 miles. These vans can have engine and transmission problems when not properly maintained. This one has been meticulously maintained and drives like it did when it drove off the dealer’s lot on day #1. It drives perfectly and you can jump right in and take it across the country with your family with no worries. I looked for a long time to find this one and purchased it with 19,000 original miles. I added a hitch for our bike rack so that I could take our bikes with us wherever we go. It comes with all of the standard options: Power Windows, Power Brakes, full camp stove, refrigerator, built in heater, cabinetry, pop top, swivel captain’s and passenger seats, closet, built in auxiliary battery with charger, front curtain set, rear curtain, bed cushion sets (top and bottom), pull down window blinds, factory external cover for underbody accessories/tank, multiple folding tables (which are stored behind the drivers seat) and a factory mounted CD player. I apologize that the pictures have a yellow hue to them as they were taken on my iphone. The vehicle is original paint, is white with gray interior. It is in Near Mint Condition. I recommend Eurovan’s from years 2001-2003. Horsepower jumped by 64HP (46% over 2000 models). This was the last three years of export to the US and they came with the most powerful VR6 6 cylinder engine ever installed in a Eurovan up to that time. It makes plenty of power and torque and I wouldn’t have been happy with anything less as it is nice to be able to drive in the mountains with no concern for being underpowered. VW also added a rear sway bar which enhanced safety on windy roads, added 16 inch wheels and improved the braking system over the year 2000. Per GoWesty’s website: “In 2001 the VR6 jumped in HP to 204 and is even more reliable as the one it replaced. It should be noted that the engine SIZE did not change; it remained a 2.8 liter engine. The cylinder head was re-designed to include 24 valves instead of only 12, and the camshaft timing became variable and computer controlled. The engine management system was also improved, and switched to a true "drive by wire" system (no actual physical connection between your right foot and the engine), and multiple coil ignition..”This is a safe and happy Eurovan… you can comfortably put your family in it and know that it is as close to new as you could expect, has been meticulously maintained and that it won’t leave you stranded. It has never seen snow, has no rust and no body damage. The first owner did have to have the rear bumper repainted due to a minor incident yet it is undetectable and I only know because I saw the receipt. There is no damage to the vehicle, nor has it ever had damage. There are a few small door dings. Again I will state that this in my opinion is the nicest Eurovan Camper in the country.
