Vehicle Detail

Sold by Romestant Engineering and Design, builders of SpecialK BMW's as seen on Jay Leno's Garage, and featured in many magazines and online blogs. Please visit: specialks dot net. Color is N41 Royal Blue. I acquired this to build into a cool custom, but I am liquidating inventory at his time to make room for new client's projects. I rode this bike before dismantling it, and it rode well, with good power, excellent handling, it really is like new except for the damage. Complete bike, involved in a low speed collision, but did not go down. Minor body damage, but needs several new bits. The headlight nacelle is damaged, as is one half of the cast nacelle support frame. The taillight is broken. The BMW Garmin GPS and the IliumWorks protection bar with foot boards are not available. Standard foot pegs are provided. All controls and electronics worked except for the articulating windscreen. The windscreen is not damaged, but the motor was not moving. Not sure what the problem is, could be electrical or mechanical. Several outer body panels on one side were damaged, and one saddlebag is scufffed, but not broken, and the plastic lid cover is not cracked, only scuffed. Some of the outer body panels are repairable. The top case and other bag are fine, the heated seat is undamaged as well. The bike has central locking. The exhaust is undamaged, tires are excellent. This bike is an easy restoration, or could be a great customization platform. I will include the BMW OEM Service Manual on flash drive. It is extremely detailed and will make reassembly much easier to do. Reserve price is very reasonable, bike is priced to sell. I estimate the investment to do-it-yourself restore this would be between $2000-$4000, depending on what is replaced new or used, and what is repaired.
