This truck is my daily driver, it has been registered and insured since purchased. Clear title in hand. I purchased this 1956 Chevy longbed 3100 series truck from southern California 6 years ago, it was a very solid driver. This truck was built to be driven, back in 2013 I put in a built 1995 vortec 350, bored .060 over, roller rockers, and a 282HR cam, making this a 355. This was mated to a 700r4 tranny at the time and since the build it has approximately 15K miles on it. Edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carburetor, electric fuel pump. Truck has a serpentine belt setup, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, heat/defrost, and leather power seat. I believe the front suspension and rear are from an early 1980’s truck, the suspension is mounted to the original chassis. The gauge cluster is billet aluminum with dolphin gauges, all work except the fuel gauge is not accurate. Electric wipers work as well as the headlights, parking lights, tail lights, signals, and brake lights. An aluminum radiator was installed after I purchased the truck and includes the transmission cooler, keeps the truck running cool. Front windshield was replaced was well as the front and back window seals. As you can see this is the desirable big back window. The master cylinder is mounted under the floor with a remote reservoir on the firewall. The bed wood was replaced with nice oak that has 5 coats of marine varnish; the bed strips are stainless steel as well as the hardware. The inside side walls are sprayed with bed liner. This is a truck you can drive anywhere. It has been very dependable, and looks great for a 60 year old truck.
