Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automtive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in one or both places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis GS with just 74k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Mercury to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in dark red over tan. The paint has a number of visible light scratches, specifically on the trunk lid as if from a purse, but looks good overall. All I do to prep a car is a hand wash, vacuum and road test so you may be able to buff out the trunk as none of the scratches look deep. The paint shines nicely overall and shows well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close smoothly. There is a small piece of plastic molding missing from the left fender, as shown in the photos. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome wheel covers look great and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the cabin. The cloth seats are clean and very comfortable. Throughout the interior are wood accents, which give a warm feel. The power windows, locks, seat and mirrors all work properly. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The a/c compressor is brand new. The audio system is the original factory CD sound which appears to be working properly and sounds good. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. This Grand Marquis is equipped with an aftermarket remote entry system with remote start, which works properly and is a super nice feature to have. Mechanically, this Grand Marquis appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on. The engine makes great power and feels smooth, like it should. These are absolutely fantastic cars that are virtually indestructible. With basic maintenance, these cars are known to last for 400k miles. What's more, you can expect to get upwards of 30mpg on the highway. For me personally, I tend to average about 22mpg for mixed driving...which is pretty impressive for a full sized car. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Grand Marquis has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of November, 2016. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automtive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in one or both places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis GS with just 74k miles. I would rate the exterior of this Mercury to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in dark red over tan. The paint has a number of visible light scratches, specifically on the trunk lid as if from a purse, but looks good overall. All I do to prep a car is a hand wash, vacuum and road test so you may be able to buff out the trunk as none of the scratches look deep. The paint shines nicely overall and shows well. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close smoothly. There is a small piece of plastic molding missing from the left fender, as shown in the photos. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory chrome wheel covers look great and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully.
I would rate the interior to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door panels are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age and are full looking throughout the cabin. The cloth seats are clean and very comfortable. Throughout the interior are wood accents, which give a warm feel. The power windows, locks, seat and mirrors all work properly. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The a/c compressor is brand new. The audio system is the original factory CD sound which appears to be working properly and sounds good. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. This Grand Marquis is equipped with an aftermarket remote entry system with remote start, which works properly and is a super nice feature to have.
Mechanically, this Grand Marquis appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.6L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are excellent. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and excellent oil pressure at all times. There have been no idiot lights on. The engine makes great power and feels smooth, like it should. These are absolutely fantastic cars that are virtually indestructible. With basic maintenance, these cars are known to last for 400k miles. What's more, you can expect to get upwards of 30mpg on the highway. For me personally, I tend to average about 22mpg for mixed driving...which is pretty impressive for a full sized car. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. This Grand Marquis has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of November, 2016. CARS' Power Train Limited Warranty covers all lubricated parts contained within the engine block, all lubricated parts contained within the transmission housing, drive axle lubricated parts, drive shaft, universal joints, CV joints and wheel bearings. Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $45 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
