2004 Jeep Wrangler X ROCKY MOUNTAIN EDITION 4.0L 6cyl 5-Speed Manual A/C DANA 44 This is a Hard to Find All Original 2004 Jeep Wrangler X Rocky Mountain Edition with the 4.0L inline 6cyl Engine, a 5-Speed Manual Transmission, and 143K miles. The Carfax is clean and clear showing no accident history or reports. This Jeep has been very well taken care both cosmetically and mechanically. You would be hard pressed to find even a 43k mile Wrangler in the same condition, inside and out. The Rocky Mountain Edition was a rather rare Special Edition TJ Wrangler that was available only a few years (2003-2005), and of those years, 2004 was the only year that came with the 15" high polished Alcoa Wheels. The Rocky Moutain came standard with the Dana 44 rear axle and 3.73 gears, the inline 4.0L 6cyl engine, and some cosmetic additions that were made only for this edition. Some of the unique features of this model included the larger color matching graphite painted fender flares, dark slate interior with unique 2-tone seats with "Jeep" embroidery, silver painted instrument panel accents, and diamond plated rocker guards. This Jeep also has a 2" lift which is the ideal height to have the 31" tires fill in the larger fender wells while not having to sacrifice the everyday drivability of a Jeep. The Rocky Mountain was available in only a handful of colors, and of course came with "Rocky Mountain Edition" badging. The bulletproof 4.0L inline 6cyl engine runs great with full power, and the 5-speed manual transmission shifts through each gear with ease. These inline 6cyl engines are one of the best motors ever built, and have proven capable of 250K+ miles. The AIR CONDITIONING blows ice cold on all fan speeds, and the heater blows hot. The JVC AM/FM/CD stereo system sounds nice and crisp, and comes with a sound bar to enhance the sound, and allows you to hear the radio with the top down. The soft top is in excellent condition and is free of any rips, tears, or fading. The zippers zip up and down with ease. 4x4 works properly and shifts throughout the modes as it should (4hi, 2hi, 2lo). Factory fog lamps work. All options work properly throughout the Jeep. A $169.27 documentary fee is required for every vehicle purchased. Illinois is a "non-title holding state", meaning the bank holds title of any previously financed vehicle. Illinois requires us to provide title within 30 days to the new owner, but we are typically able to do so much sooner. We provide a 30-day temporary tag which allows the vehicle to be driven by the new owner until they are able to register the vehicle in their state.
