Vehicle Detail

Here's a terrific tow vehicle, winter 4X4 or work vehicle that will represent a phenomenal value for its next owner. True, it's old and has a lot of miles, but it has a recently remanufactured Jasper engine with only about 55,000 miles on it. Plus the current owner has invested so lavishly in renewing old parts that its next owner can get right to work and just focus on keeping its 43 gallon fuel tank full to keep on truckin'. Here's a list of new items installed in the last few (1-4) years: Radiator hosesRadiatorWater pumpElectric trailer brake controllerRear AC evaporator and linesAC CompressorDrum brake cylindersRubber brake lines front & rearFront brake rotorsFront brake calipersBrake master cylinderSpark plugsIgnition wiresDistributor capAccessory drive beltIdler pulleyDrive shaft U jointsDifferential pinion sealStarter motorBatteryAlternatorJasper engine at ~190,000 milesNew tires at 241,392 miles (~4k miles ago)Oil cooler lines It has also had the fluid changed in both differentials and had new brake pads and shoes installed recently. Still at this price and age all the bells and whistles aren't going to be perfect. Here are some of the items the next owner may (or may not!) choose to address: Cruise control not working (due to a tiny broken plastic fitting at the throttle)The left rear window is sometimes stubborn about closing without manual interventionThe power mirrors don't workThe manual lock to the tailgate doesn't work (but the power release works fine)The cd player eats CDs without bothering to play them (rest of radio works fine)The paint is tired (see photos)The driver seat has a couple of splits in the leather (see photos) At this age & price such issues are par for course. We bought this truck at 226,000 miles and have driven it all over the East coast towing race cars, sailboats and hauling people, luggage, bicycles - just about anything we could think of. Football fans will also find this to be ULTIMATE tailgate vehicle. What this American Iron needs now is a new owner to put it back to work. If you’ve got work to do on a limited budget, this Suburban with all of its recent parts & upgrades represents the outstanding value you’re looking for.
