Vehicle Detail

The previous auction for this car was ended because there was an error in the listing that was brought to my attention by someone interested in the car. Thank you! Turns out the engine is a 65 401 nail head motor with a 4 barrel NOT a 425 as previously stated. It has a YT stamping which makes it a 401. I don't believe it is original to the car either according to the engine stamping I found and from what I have read. I had no idea to be honest and I never thought to check when I bought the car. It really didn't matter to me the car ran well and looked really good and for the money it was a really cool car. I was looking for a great cruiser and that's what I got. I was going by the previous owners representation of the car. If it were a 67 Corvette I would have checked every number on the car but this is a 65 Riv (no offense) and I wasn't paying GS pricing for the car (or corvette pricing) so it honestly didn't matter to me. Having said that it's still a great car and everything else is I stated is true. I don't think it is a huge deal but I did state otherwise and maybe you do so I wanted full disclosure. My reputation means more to me than a few bucks. I am just glad it didn't sell. I have nothing to hide. Come check out the car and drive it yourself or send someone on your behalf. Its a sweet car and the best year for Riviera... SOOOOO....... Up for sale is my 1965 Riviera. The car comes well optioned. It is equipped with power brakes, power steering, power windows, power antenna, 4 way power seat, deluxe interior w/tilt steering and A/C just to name a few. It has the trunk release in the glove box and the rear seat speaker too. Clam shell headlights work perfectly too! This car is one of the best driving cars I have ever owned. It starts on half a turn of the key and purrs/growls. It does not leak 1 drop of ANYTHING! Tons of power! Underside is dry as a bone and completely rust free. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. Of course I would lose my shirt on gas as it guzzles the stuff. Mechanically as I said car is amazing and everything works as it should. Drives straight and true at 70mph no problem. Really nice ride. No rattles. Solid car. Brakes are amazing considering they are drum all around. You would think they are disc the way the car stops. One of the best things about this car is the sound though. Its got such a nice low deep rumble. I posted a video below of the sound. Glass is amazing, stainless and chrome are all very good to excellent. Interior is in very nice shape with no rips or tears. 1 seam on the driver seat is starting to separate but that's it. Overall really nice. Headliner is very good also. Driver power seat works intermittently. Car needs a new carpet installed. I have the new carpet as well as the jute sound deadener. New Carpet goes with the car. I also have a new package tray that also goes with the car and a lot of extras like all new weather stripping and Brand new custom floor mats. Interior could use some refreshing on the wood inserts and at some point someone replaced the clock with a tach (which works). I have the orig clock. Steering wheel is excellent. Dash and console show well also. Paint is really nice overall. It has had a repaint but do not know when or who did it. The trim tag posted says it was originally a white car in case you are like me and don't look at codes. It has some blemishes here and there but nothing that really stands out. You have to get up close and personal to really see. Driver quality paint. I would say paint is a solid 7 out of 10. No rust bubbles. Panel fit is great on the car. Its a really really nice driver. Solid # 2 car all day long. Overall its a great car that does not need much to take it to the next level if you choose to do so. I would just drive as is. Come take a look for yourself before the auction ends. Inspections are encouraged and welcomed. If you have any questions Please Call , Email or Text. Below is a short video of the car running. This was from a cold start. The light on the dash that I was focusing on says cold. It goes off when the car warms up. https://youtu.be/qspWgYfttMU 516 456 3453 I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason If you are interested in other purchasing options please let me know. Thanks for looking On Feb-25-16 at 16:14:18 PST, seller added the following information: Correction. Engine is stamped LT not YT. Which is correct for 1965
