This is a 2ND Generation Riviera, a totally new ultra sleek styling from the first generation. The 2nd generation ran from 1966 to 1970. Buick completely redesigned the Riviera, moving the headlights behind the grille, where they moved up above the grille not being used. Buick also gave it a longer body, the hood was extended, and the rear styling was similar to a fastback design. Although this was built as a luxury type vehicle, it was no slouch in the performance department, going from 0 to 60 in 9.2 seconds. We are offering a very nice, refurbished 1969 Buick Riviera, two door hardtop, a very nice California car. This vehicle was a one owner, prior to my owning it, it was owned by an elderly lady who bought it new from Smythe Buick in San Jose, California (paperwork included). We were told she always kept it garaged. She passed away and her children decided to sell it. The odometer shows 53,716 and this car runs really strong. The Exterior has been professionally painted black and it has a new black vinyl top. The Interior is very clean, the front and rear seats have been professionally re-upholstered in black vinyl in the same pattern as the original car. There is new black carpet throughout, including the trunk. The interior weather stripping is new as well as in the trunk. The interior looks very nice. Motor: This Riviera’s original 430 V-8, number matching motor, runs great! It has the original Four Barrel Quadrajet Carburator with Dual Exhaust. The carburetor has been rebuilt, 3200 RPM torque. The 400 Turbo Transmission shifts great. There are new spark plugs, new wires, new valve cover gaskets and new hoses, new electric fuel pump, new battery and new oil and filter. The Air Conditioning is new, there is a new AC unit compressor and receiver dryer expansion valve. This is a POA updated system with new AC relay. Has new updated conversion kit to 134 Freon with new oil. Cooling system has new upper and lower radiator hoses with new coolant, new thermostat and new heater control valve. Chrome: There is extra chrome under the hood, chrome hinges, chrome valve covers, AC brackets, chrome air cleaner, chrome radiator hold down and chrome alternator brackets. There is also new gray insulation under the hood, looks great! Radio: This car has the original radio and 8 track tape player, although the radio does not work, we did get a quote of $175 to repair from a couple sources. Power Windows have new electric motor and new regulators with new wiring harness. Lights have two new vacuum modulator units and new manifold vacuum switch.
