Vehicle Detail
Thanks for taking a look at my 2001 BMW 740il. This beautiful 740il has been one of my favorite vehicles ever. Unfortunately I am relocating to California for work and I won't have a need for an additional vehicle. Many enthusiasts regard the E38 7-series as the last great generation of 7-series models. These models are becoming increasingly difficult to find in such excellent condition. This 740il has the following factory options: 740il Sport PackageElectronic Damping Control with Sport Mode18" M Parallel Spoke alloy wheelsShadowline exterior trim16-way power front Comfort Seats Convenience PackagePower rear sunshadeRear door sunshadesPower-folding automatic-dimming exterior mirrors You can rest assured that this 740il has been pampered its entire life and it shows. The 4.4 Liter V8 still pulls strong and achieves excellent fuel economy on Shell V-Power Premium fuel (which is the ONLY fuel I've used in this vehicle). Every power accessory in the vehicle operates and all the pixels on the instrument cluster and climate control system work. The audio system still sounds great and the CD changer in the trunk still operates beautifully. As an added bonus I will include additional Kicker Speakers that can be added to upgrade the factory audio system. All manuals and books are still with the vehicle, including the original factory brochure. The following maintenance items (in addition to regular service) have been done: New Valve Cover Gaskets (both sides)New front lower control arms (both sides)Recent 4-wheel alignmentNew lower oil pan gasket This vehicle was involved in a very minor collision that resulted only in cosmetic damage to the front grille, however the fuel sensor deactivated and it needed to be towed to the BMW dealer to have it reactivated. If given the choice I would have no qualms about keeping this vehicle. This would be an excellent vehicle for a BMW enthusiast or someone looking for a first car.
