Up for sale is my 1968 charger. First of all I want to make it clear that this car is not an R/T. I bought it off of an old preacher who had purchased it several years ago, wanting to relive some of the good old days. Little did he realize the care these cars take since he owned one 44 years ago. He told me that he had the numbers run and everything matches and that the odometer is correct mileage @ 65,400. I cannot verify this I am just passing on what he told me. When I bought it the car had sat on a tarp in a barn with a concrete floor. Anything that it needed was replaced with brand new parts. I got into a lot more replacing than what I originally thought. The car still retains all of its original sheet metal. No bondo and no rust anywhere on this car. The floors are as solid as the day it came from the factory. The trunk is solid also but needs painted. When we pulled the gas tank to replace it the underside of the trunk was as shiny as a new piece of metal. All electric works. Gauges, signals, lights, headlights, doors open even correctly! A car with original metal is only original one! I don't want to take the chance of getting in an accident. I haven't put more than 50 miles on it since I finished it. Runs great goes down the road at 65 miles per hour with two fingers on the steering wheel!!!On Feb-16-16 at 10:25:39 PST, seller added the following information: Hey, i thought i had better mention that the heater does not work, the motor blows but it needs a resistor plugged in ( have the resistor that goes with the car, also the headliner has some small holes in it, BUT i have a new one that goes with the car!! I was planning on having these two things fixed, but i just had surgery and just cant get into the positions that i need to be to do it myself !!!
