“Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit— Frank Borman, Apollo AstronautFollow us on instagram @southernoverlandco Southern Overland Company was born out of a passion for the outdoors and is fueled by the love of Overland travel. Founded and operated by enthusiasts to provide opportunities for our fellow adventures, in every budget level, a chance to own their own adventure-mobile. Although we primarily specialize in the importing and outfitting of Land Rovers, Land Cruisers and Pajeros...we can get/build whatever you desire. The beauty of Overlanding is that you, the explorer, can drive whatever you like. Soccer van? Cool, no problem. Mall Crawler, Grocery-Getter?...sure, load it up and explore. We don't judge or perpetuate the stuffy atmosphere that comes with some brands/groups..."run what ya brung" is our approach here in the south. Every individual should be able to experience the excitement of an Overlanding adventure. Our partners in England help us source the best vehicles for your needs. If we cannot find a vehicle to fit your budget overseas then we can help domestically source an alternative or even build your current vehicle into an adventure machine. "Bargewell" 1982 LAND ROVER 109 CountyMr. Bargewell is a wonderful example of an early, well cared for series. It runs, drives and Rovers right along just as it has for 34yrs...never skipping a beat. This vehicle is as close to original as it gets, solid frame, no significant rust issues (just very minor surfical oxidation, nothing structurally concerning). Barge well made it's way to the states last year. It was located and subsequently purchased from a farm in England where it spent the last couple decades. The odometer shows under 50k miles and previous MOT certs confirmed that the miles were genuine and honestly considering the shape it's in that makes sense. These old series are becoming increasingly difficult to find in original shape and not rotted out from UK weather. The highly desired Fairey Overdrive makes this series all the more appealing due to their increasing rarity in the states. The paint still has some life left in it and will clean up nice, the window felts are a bit tattered but that's to be expected...those are easily sourced anyways. Tropical roof provides wonderful airflow while cruising. This vehicle would be a perfect run around truck with tons of character. Classic Rovers are one of the best investments you can make. Clean, Florida Title in hand....this Rover is ready for a new adventure.
