Up for sale a very very rare AUTOMATIC IH Metro van. I have been collecting these and now I have to sell a few because I just don't have the time to get to each one-- This short body style is the perfect candidate for an easy restoration. the engine runs great and the transmission shifts in gear. body color is ugly, but body overall is in great shape. needs brake work; luckily the brake parts are readily available online. Pros: desirable body style in good knick, just a few quick panel repairs on backside and step board replacement needed. I'd tear the interior clean out, paint and insulate. its an extremely rare automatic perfect for converting to food truck and selling to someone afraid of standard engines.Engine running strong and rims you can actually take to a tire shop without getting a weird look.has body trim and hard to get letters. Cons: two back panel need minor repair, driver side step pan needs minor repair, selling as is with no gauges or lights working, small crack in passenger windshield. rear doors need new hardware. Basically its a 55 year old vehicle that needs restoration. These are only going up in value and if i didn't need to condense my collection i would sit on this one for a while as its one of the most rare and desirable. the Min price will be $7500, i know these vans well and this one is a great buy at that price; at the end of this auction if it is not sold I'm going to start tearing it down for a rebuild and it will not come back up for auction again. On Jan-19-16 at 20:28:43 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE:was speaking with the previous owner of the van and he just told me that this one had an engine and transmission rebuild with less than 100 miles on it. i did not know this. he was calling to discuss other vans and told me; therefore this van is suddenly much more valuable. On Jan-19-16 at 20:34:01 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE#2: as i was updating #1 , a bid came in so i can no longer end this item even with the new news... this van went from a 9k van to a 17k van with the engine and tranny rebuild, so i certainly hope it goes for more than the min bid now. if not thank you all and best of luck getting your metro-- its a small club and hopefully we can all meet up one day!
