Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a very complete and very original 1969 Dodge Dart GT with much of its original paint. This car has been in storage and covered for 10-12 years which helped preserve the car! Someone did try to blend paint from the added on bump strip down on the passenger side. After wet-sanding and buffing it would look completely different! (And shiny!) I also have an almost PERFECT Broadcast Sheet! And Fender Tag! The motor and transmission were removed years ago and I have replaced with with a 1972 318 and 904 transmission. It has a Pertronix electronic ignition and fires in one turn with the new high speed mini starter. The motor was gone through and "freshened up" with all new gaskets and timing set. New fuel pump and carburetor make it run like new. It is a VERY strong small block and the new2.5" single aluminumized exhaust with a 40 series Flowmaster sounds great!! (Leak at doughnut pass side) A little more tuning and the included bolt on parts and she will fly! For the buy it now you will get a new set of headers, a 4bbl intake, and a Edelbrock 650 carburator that will need rebuilt but was working when removed 5-6 years ago. The floors, trunk and extensions are just wonderful! Very little more than surface rust. The drivers door striker was broken out of the jamb but I have since fixed it. I cut out and welded in new metal and reattached the adjuster inside the jamb and now it just needs finished off. The door shuts like a new car! The drivers front X-member around the torsion bar has rust, that is the only structural rust on the car and it can be easily patched and or have a Saf-T-Cap welded in and never worry again. The brakes have not been adjusted or bled and need to be but the car does stop. I have only driven it around the block a few times and to the gas station and back so I would not recommend driving the car home but it should make it. (I recommend a trailer) this car is untested. The interior is mostly original, with the exception of new ACC carpet. The headliner would clean up nicely and doesn't appear to be ripped or have any holes but could be dyed. The door panels are all in really decent shape but have some fading, when I got the car the interior was all out of it and the carpet was gone. The drivers side seat track was separated on the outside track so I modified a bench seat track to work and does the job but is the only thing on the inside that is not original to the car. All of the glass including the windshield are perfect and so is all of the surround trim. I added the 67 barracuda 3 spoke woodgrain steering wheel because I like them and had it! All of the lights and accessories work as they should. The dashboard has the GTS full width trim and is completely original and in nice shape, just needs a good weekend of cleaning. The dash pad is clacked and split as most of them are but comes with a dash "Cap" that the previous owner tried to glue on then decided to remove it to dye it but never got that far. It would look great just painted in a matching gold. This car could be cleaned up have the brakes adjusted and be crusing by Saturday evening! It is a great base to start with and just look around at what this small amount of money will get you...Not much... This is a steal and a great car for very little money and it runs, drives and is 99% complete!!! I do have everything to make this car a big block 4 speed with an A-Body 8.75 rear end with 3.55 sure grip and your choice of 383 or 440 for extra cost and can get it set up for you for a little more... Depending on what you want to spend I do restore Mopars and bought this car to build into that 383/440 4speed. The dog-dish wheel covers are not included but the original hubcaps come with and tires hold air (barely) but need replaced if you want to drive more than around the block... They are shot! ( dog-dish can be included for an extra fee)
