1996 BMW M3 Alpine White Coupe...intelligently modified. Clear title - No accidents - 2nd Owner - Adult owned & operated - Never seen snow - Nonsmoker - Religiously maintained & garaged. I am the second owner, (Im not certain why the Autocheck is saying 5 owners but it was bought from the original owner who bought it off the lease, it as been registered differently under my ownership which is the only explanation I can see for the autocheck "estimate") purchased it from an elderly gentleman who used it as his daily driver to and from his government job in Washington D.C...needless to say he took it to the dealer for all oil changes and maintenance. When I got the car I had aspirations of eventually turning it into the ultimate autocross M3. Long story short I got married and can’t finish what I started so Im hoping you will. What follows is a list of the upgrades/major maintenance I have done to the vehicle, it is not comprehensive as there is no way I could remember everything but it gets the point across. Engine-Custom Cold Air Intake (runs down into front valence to maximize cold air uptake)-Bavarian Autosport Power Programmer-Cooling system overhaul (which is the achilles’ heel of higher mileage M’s) new radiator, expansion tank, Bav Auto brass bleed screw, Stewart high performance metal impellor water pump, aluminum water pump housing, Race temp thermostat, Samco sport silicone radiator hoses, all misc. hoses, coolant temp sensor, coolant level sensor-New pulleys...tensioner,idler, metal water pump pulley-Borla catback exhaust-Magnetic oil drain plug-Valve cover gasket kit done last year Suspension & Wheels-Full Bilstein PSS9 Coil Over System- adjustable ride height, etc-Turner Motorsport sway bars and replaced sway bar links-Urethane rear shock mounts-Custom lightweight Roja wheels (17x7.5) ...I believe they are around 17lbs or something they are incredibly light Transmission-UUC Short Shift Kit-UUC shift arm support bushings and UUC Dual Shear Selector Rod (these two upgrades make an incredible difference in play and feel of the gear shift linkage)-UUC clutch unlock valve-UUC stainless steel clutch line-UUC bolt thru tranny mounts with aluminum enforcer cups-Magnetic drain plug-UUC clutch stop Brakes-All calipers rebuilt and polished last year, front pads 80%, rear pads just replaced-UUC stainless steel brake lines Interior -Sparco seats-Simpson 5pt belts-I.O Port Autopower race roll cage-all xenon interior lights-Custom stereo...Ported box, Audiobahn 1800D amp, 2x12inch 2000w subs, Viper 4channel interior speaker amp, Rockford interior speakers, Pioneer Premier head unit...it will play anything you want as loud as you want-Aluminum M pedal set Exterior-Authentic BMW Lightweight rear wing-Clear taillights, clear parking lights, clear side markers-Headlights replaced last year...crystal clear Mechanical Needs-Driver’s side needs a window motor (easy job and the part is about $125), rear pads were replaced last week but needs rear rotors soon (on clearance at bavauto.com right now for $22.50 each), ABS/ASC light is on...could be as simple as a brake light switch for $7 but no worse than a wheel speed sensor or abs pump motor which are both around $175, lastly the control arm bushings are in need of replacement (price varies on brand and point of purchase).-I have some miscellaneous parts / tools I will include with the sale of the vehicle that will come in handy some time in the future Cosmetic Needs-As documented in the photos...dent on roof is from a beer bottle thrown at the car (there’s a special place in hell for the person who threw it), light stone chips and what I can only assume is curb rash (was there when I bought car) on front bumper, there are two very small and minor spots of surface rust on the vehicle - one is where the trunk meets the rear bumper in the center and the second is where the driver’s side of the bumper meets the rear left quarter panel ( easily correctable in a weekend’s time but is nothing worth overlooking a car this clean) I spent a lot of time and money building this car the correct way. It breaks my heart to turn it loose but I don’t have the time to give it the attention it deserves anymore. All it needs is a knowledgeable buyer to pick up where I left off. The shortcomings of this car are exponentially outweighed by the the positives. All serious offers will be considered. Car must go.
