If your looking for a mint restored Elsinore to show or display, this is not the bike for you. If your looking for a race-ready 74 Elsinore 250, look no further. This Elsinore was built to race 20 years ago, and was raced twice. Since then, I start it every month or two, and take it out riding a few times a year. It has less than 20 hours on all of the work that was done. When the work was done, the cylinder was bored 10 over. New Wiseco piston and rings, DG pipe, Mikuni Carb, Mossbarger Reed Valve, which may or may not be AHRMA legal. The frame was sent out to Vintage Iron to have all the weak points reinforced and welded. Works performance shocks, heavy duty progressive fork springs were installed. New chain and sprockets, new brakes, Renthal bars, new perches, new cables, new levers, new seat foam and cover. It has a gnarly IRC rear knobby that's 95%. The only thing you might want to change is the front tire. I believe it's a Dunlop, and it's about 75% There are many NOS parts that were purchased and installed 20 years ago that are not available now.. The tank is not perfect, but looks good. This bike pulls like mad in every gear, and is a blast to ride. It has the patina of a 41 year old bike, but heart of a lion. You won't be disappointed.
