1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ Renegade, 4.0L, Cold A/C, 4x4, 8" Lift, 35" Grabbers, Hardtop, Pioneer CD Super Rare Factory Renegade...Lifelong California Jeep NO RUST! Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1992 Jeep YJ Renegade in remarkable condition inside and out. This Jeep has spent all of its life in Southern California and was bought new at Glendale Jeep Eagle on 12-15-91 (24 Years Ago!). This is one of the neatest YJ's I have ever seen and has been extremely well preserved by the dry desert climate. The Renegade came with all the body cladding, upgraded interior, and cool external decals! These are getting harder and harder to come by, especially in such a condition like this one! "From October 1990 until 1994, Jeep produced an options package on the YJ Wrangler listed as the "Renegade Decor Group". Vehicles were shipped as optioned Wranglers to American Specialty Cars (ASC) in the Detroit area, where the Renegade Decor Package was installed, then shipped back to Jeep for delivery to dealers. Renegades all have a small sticker on the driver's side door, right above the latch denoting the visit to ASC. Initially, all Renegades were White, Black, or Red. Blue and Bronze were added for the 1992 and 1993 model years, respectively. The Renegade Decor Group was a $4,266.00 option over a base Wrangler for 1991 and included special alloy wheels, exclusive body flares, along with many other features. A hardtop was a $923.00 option and came with a mandatory rear window defroster at $164.00. Although soft-top models came standard with "half doors", full framed doors with glass windows were an option, and as on all 6-cylinder Wranglers, air-conditioning was also an option. Renegades typically had the tilt steering wheel ($130.00) and an AM/FM/cassette stereo radio ($264.00)." On top of the $12,889 MSRP the Renegade Decor Group added $4266, A/C was $878, Inline 6 added $612, Hardtop w/ Wiper $1090, Tilt wheel $130. Total Sticker $19,865 back in 1992!!! The following is a list of options as this Jeep is currently equipped: -Original 241ci 4.0L Inline 6cyl -5 Speed Manual Transmission -Command-Trac No-Slip Rear End -8" Custom Shackle Lift -Rancho Shocks and Steering Stabilizer -35" General Grabber All Terrain Tires -Centerline 15" Wheels -All Original Deluxe Renegade Interior w/ Carpet -Locking Center Console -Original Gauges and Tachometer -Aftermarket Pioneer Head Unit -Original Hard Top and Hard Doors The body on the Jeep is totally solid and rust free. I have inspected the body and can not find a single spot of rust or repair patches whatsoever. The Jeep has lived its life in dry climates and has always been well cared for. The black exterior really makes the ornate curves of the Renegade cladding stand out. The paint still has a nice shine but does have some spots of thin paint and chips.The Jeep has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as an western car should be. The rubber seals are all in very nice shape and the jeep seals up perfect. The hardtop was removed for inspection and everything look good as well as the seals. The truck was just completely gone through and all of the dried up window seals were replaced including all the outer glass trim, cowl to windshield seal, outer window wipe seals, ect. The car is riding on the Centerline 15" wheels with 35" Grabber Mud Terrain tires. These tires are almost brand new!! The interior is in great shape all around. The windshield is in very nice condition and the glass is chip free. The original seats are all in very good shape. The seats show no ware to the cloth whatsoever...amazing!. All dials and controls function as they should and are illuminated at night. The dashboard is in excellent shape with no cracks. Original carpet is excellent with no rips or ware. The Jeep has an older aftermarket stereo system that still sounds good as well. Mechanically, this CJ runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts quite easily. The 4.0L engine has been fully tuned up with oil change and runs like a top! Every mechanical system on this Jeep was gone through and given a clean bill of health. The engine compartment is a true testament to how well this truck has been taken care of. It looks amazing for the mileage! Check out the brand new hood pad! Our jeep tech was astounded by the condition both mechanically and asthetically of this rare YJ. The jeep is tight as a drum and doesn't leak a drop of anything. A/C system and heat were checked, oil pan gasket replaced, new shocks, new brakes, new tires, and the list goes on! The car will include one sets of original keys, jack, tools, as well as any paperwork pertaining to the car. All in all, this is one of the cleanest and tastefully modified Jeeps that I have had the privilege of being associated with.
