1974 was the last year Honda produced the CL450 This example, although not perfect, is in amazing original condition that is ready to ride or show. It starts instantly and runs like a new bike. No engine noise at all. Best running CL450 I have ever owned....and I've owned dozens over the years. It starts, runs, shifts and stops perfectly! Those that know me recognize me as a old school enthusiast. I've been buying, selling, restoring old Japanese bikes for over 30 years now. I grew up in the sixties and these old bikes were and still are my passion. My legacy is that I have returned so many of these old bikes from the scrap pile to living rooms. This one needed very little. Just a good clean up and here is a very original survivor in near pristine condition. They are only original once.......... Purchased from the original owner who passed away recently, this bike is an amazing survivor that has been maintained and stored properly for the past 41 years. I re-furbished the bike from top to bottom while maintaining its originality. I started with the carbs and ultrasonically cleaned, adjusted and installed new gaskets. I tuned the bike, changed the oil, replaced front fork seals, replaced old torn fork boots with OEM, replaced plugs, installed new battery, replaced both tires and tubes with IRC period correct tires purchased from Bike Bandit, and then I replaced the manifold rubber & gaskets with NOS. I cleaned and shined the bike without over doing the engine covers and front forks. They both still have the original coating and I didn't want to compromise the originality. The seat is original and looks new with no holes rips or tears. The exhaust and chrome on the exhaust is nearly flawless with no holes, scrapes, scratches or rust.The bike has never been dropped or damaged in any way. Also included with the sale is the owners manual and tool kit (pictured) Rather than go into any more detail, I will let the photos and closeups speak for the bike. The bike will be sold complete with the Missouri title in my name. The title has 1972 listed as the year but that is the result of a DMV error. I can assure you the bike is a 1974 K-6 model.
