Introduced on September 20th 2002 as a 2003 model, the CTS was built on GM's new rear wheel drive sigma platform and sported a fully independent suspension. It marked a return to RWD cars for the brand, and was the first Cadillac to be offered with a manual transmission since the 1988 Cimarron. The CTS was designed as a replacement for the opel based Catera. Wayne Cherry and Kip Wasenko designed the exterior of the first generation CTS and this vehicle marked the production debut of the "Art and Science" design language first seen on the Evoq concept car. CTSs are manufactured at GM's Lansing grand river plant in Lansing Michigan. The CTS was also assembled in China during 2006, and production was subsequently discontinued. Originally powered by a 3.2 L La3 v6 producing 220 hp (164 kW), the CTS received an updated 3.6 L DOHC V6 with variable timing in 2006, producing 255 hp (190 kW) and 252 lb·ft (342 N·m) of torque. The CTS was originally offered with either GM's in-house 5-speed automatic or a Getrag manual 5-speed, The Getrag was replaced with an Aisin 6-speed manual. This car is stunning as it sits. its factory clean and bone stock,its never ever been boogered with or driven hard or beat on. without question this cts will bring many years of enjoyment to its new owner. after all its a Cadillac whats not to love about it..Has the very desirable silver pearl with silver & black leather interior.The cars interior is in nice shape,has the most incredible audio system I have ever listened to with built in factory subs for super bass..this stereo is loud to say the least, This is an adult owned & driven vehicle. There are no leaks drips or anything emitting from this car anywhere. This CTS is completely rust free not a spec on it. has the original on star nav-cd, drive this car across the country with ease..get in and go.. The body still looks like a new car. These cars honestly have a style all their own and never look out dated. Not to mention the clubs and groups and huge followings they have..People love these cars they really do draw tons of attention. The CTS is a pure beast at heart. has that slight subtle rumble..mash the peddle it opens up to a mean roar..the V6 screams power. The car is crazy fun to drive and super fast..A true sleeper at heart..sneaks up and eats most big v8 muscle cars with ease..
