Vehicle Detail
This beauty is a 1977 BMW R100RS. When she arrived to our shop, she was running but definitively needed some TLC. We restoredher from the ground up and gave her the sex appeal she deserves. Everything has been either replaced, repaired or powder coated. There are not any defects and hundreds of parts were installed brand new. We spared no expense to rebuild her engine. We installed new pistons, bearings, gaskets and seals, etc... The entire wiring system has been redone with a lot of new parts including the battery, of course. We put in an all new brake line, master cylinder and fluids. The front fork has been rebuilt with new seals and oil. An all new Progressive Suspension as well as rear shocks. The original aluminum rims have been lovingly polished and assembled with new stainless steel spokes, and we have fit her with a pair of new tires. Additionally we installed a brand new front faring, gas tank with internal seal treatment and a handmade tail section. Her luxurious custom seat is made from genuine brown leather. All aluminum parts were sandblasted, and all of the frame parts were powder coated. We threw in new stainless steel nuts and boltsthat replaced the old original steel ones. All body parts have been professional painted in Jet black and clear coated. The classic BMW profile with a hand-painted pinstripe improves her sexy lines. It's hard to tell how much love and attention we exerted to any single detail. As the photos don't give her justice, we invite you to come down to our shop and appreciate her in person! Some historic tech specification: The R100RS's frame held BMW's most powerful Boxer twin to date. Bored to 94mm, (up from 90), to gain 980cc. The RS had larger valves and new pistons with 9.5:1 compression; unchanged from the R90S. Replacing the 38mm Dell'Orto pumpers found on the 900, both the RS and the new 1000S used 40mm Bing CV-type instruments with dual-point ignition. With a five-speed box and a single, dry disc clutch, the RS was rated at 70-bhp, peaking at 7250 rpm and an impressive 55.75 lb.ft Torque at 5500 rpm. With standard gearing top speed for the RS approached 125-mph. Mounted on the RS's conventional tele-fork, dual, 1p ATE calipers pinch twin 260mm calipers with a 200mmBMW R100RS Specification (1977 model) Engine Four-stroke, OHV, air-cooled horizontally opposed twin.Bore x Stroke: 94 x 70.6 mm for 980 ccHorsepower: 70-hp @ 7,250 rpmCarburation: Two 40mm Bing CV-typeIgnition: Point/coil inductive WE ARE A SHOP SPECIALIZING IN CLASSIC AND VINTAGE MOTORCYCLESWE HAVE OVER 20 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE We can help for shipping worldwide
