This is a one owner 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible SE with 64,359 miles on it. It has always been meticulously maintained by us and all regular service and maintenance performed on a timely basis by the Volkswagen dealership where the vehicle was purchased new, in May, 2008. We have a complete file of all service performed as well. The leather interior is nearly flawless and the black exterior is in excellent condition with only a few light scratches that you would expect on a used vehicle. I have included photos of those marks in the listing and can provide more photos of any angle as needed. There are a few light scratches on the drivers door but I was unable to get those to show up in a photo. Alloy wheels are nearly perfect as well. Convertible top is also in pristine condition. Bridgestone Serenity Plus tires are also fairly new, although I can't locate the receipt for them. I can, if needed get a copy of this from my tire dealer I think. Mechanically this car is in excellent condition and every squeak or rattle has always immediately been addressed by the dealership as records will indicate which leads me to the reason we are selling it. Recently and unexpectedly the transmission completely failed without warning. No lights, no noises, nothing. Just gone. As a result, based upon the excellent condition of the car, I decided to put a brand new Volkswagen transmission in. They offered a rebuilt one for about $1,000.00 less, but I opted for the new one as it came with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty through Volkswagen. At the time they didn't have a transmission available locally so one had to be sent from California. This took longer than originally expected and as a result, I purchased a new Audi. So much for patience. Bottom line is this car has a new $5,200.00 transmission in it. It's in great condition in every way and will make someone very happy for a very long time. I don't have a good place to park an extra car and need to pay for my new vehicle purchase, so due to those considerations, I am prepared to sell it quickly for less than the market value. This is a good deal and you won't be disappointed. As is typical with the sale of a used car by an individual, this Volkswagen Convertible is sold as-is with no warranty. The warranty that came with the newly installed transmission may or may not be transferrable to the new owner, but that will need to be determined by the purchaser and the seller makes no guarantee. I'll be happy to provide the name of the installing Volkswagen dealer and the service manager I worked with so this can be determined by you. Local pick-up available or shipment arranged and paid for by purchaser. $500.00 deposit due immediately with Buy It Now and payment due in full within 3 days of purchase. No exceptions. Thanks for looking! *UPDATE* Transmission DOES have a 12 month 12,000 mile factory warranty from Volkswagen that began on 10/16/2015 and 63,497 miles. So this transmission only warranty is good at any US Volkswagen dealer until 10/16/2016 or 75,497 miles, whichever comes first as long as you have the receipt.This factory warranty applies ONLY to the transmission and it is through Volkswagen.
