I have for sale here a very good and very rare 1946 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. These are getting very hard to find, especially in nice shape and running and driving. This one has a straight 6 cylinder engine and a 4-speed trans. I believe the engine is a 216. The truck has 49,478 on the odometer. I think this is correct, judging by the condition. The truck starts well and drives OK. The tires are fairly old but are reliable for in-town trips. Good original art-deco hubcaps. I haven't driven out on the highway due to the tires looking a little old. The brakes are good and this '46 rides decently. The seat looks good and is comfortable. Has a hand e-brake. This model is equipped with a heater and crank-out windshield. The body is in very good shape as you can see in the photos. The underside is solid as well. Solid wood bed. The chrome is decent and the grill looks good. The blue paint is very presentable and is set off by the black fenders and running boards. All glass is good. The body does have a few very minor dings, but nothing serious. The cab corners and cab floor are solid.The following things work: dash lights, glove box door, both door windows, choke, trans shifts OK, speedometer, temp, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge and AMP gauge, and driver's door lock. Only the driver's headlight comes on. I think a new light is needed for the passenger's side. Horn not working or the rear taillight. I do have an original windshield wiper. Wiper not moving. Overall, this is a very good 1946 Chevy pickup. The truck is running and driving and is fun to putz around town in. Many looks and people pointing have been experienced in my neighborhood. Also a fun grocery-getter as my local store in only a few blocks away. Cruise around your neighborhood in a cool little 1946 Chevy pickup!! Please feel free to ask questions. Sold in as-is condition.
