Vehicle Detail

I am putting my 1968 Dodge Charger up for sale because of my recent surgery and because of its condition I just don't feel comfortable driving it! First of all this is not an RT. Here's the story, I had recently sold my 70 Roadrunner and was looking for something different. I had about given up hope when I thought of an old preacher that used to have a pretty nice 68 charger. I contacted him and he said he hadn't driven in a long time but still had it. He bought it off of a young girl that had inherited it from her grandfather that showed it. The preacher took it to a few shows and then just parked it. When I went to look at it it was in a barn and covered with a new car cover in the back seat! He said the wind had blown it off a couple years earlier and he just didn't have time to put it back on. He had a 1968 back in high school but didn't have time to take care of one like this one now days. When we ruled it out of the barn the tires that looked new actually fell apart rolling off the Magnum wheels. Anyway, I bought it because of the shape of the body and the mileage. Sure enough the car has all the original fenders, rear quarters, floors and trunk. The odometer says 65326 miles. The old preacher says that the mileage is correct and it looks to be also there is no rest and never has been! The car needed a lot since it had SAT for so long. I replaced everything with brand new parts, nothing spared! Here is a list of everything I have done in the last 8 months: all new parts! Edelbrock carb 650 CFM, aluminum radiator, master cylinder, power brake booster, traction bars, air shocks, complete exhaust system, fuel pump, 2 15x10 charger as wheels, 2 15x7 charger as wheels, 2 60/15 Cooper radial GT's, 2 70/15, gas tank, sending unit, battery, aluminum intake, all lugs were switch to right hand threads, tail stripes (tape), power steering hose! I cannot verify the mileage only what the preacher had said! But just by looking over the car, interior and exterior I would not be surprised. I have dealt with nothing but b-body Mopars for 40 years comment and I was blown away by the condition of this charger! The preacher said he had the numbers ran and it's the numbers matching, again I cannot verify this. When it was up on the lift I noticed the block is stamped 68. With my eye surgery right now I am not in the position to check any numbers. Matching or not you would be very hard pressed to find a 68 in this shape! Awesome condition! It literally needs nothing to drive anywhere! The factory gauges even work! It is in ac car in like a lot of these is missing the parts on the engine. The trunk has scaling paint because of water sat in it. But it is solid! When we replace the old tank the bottom of the tank pan was still actually shiny metal! Headlight doors still work. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP AND SHIPPING!On Nov-29-15 at 20:30:10 PST, seller added the following information: The heater does not work.On Nov-30-15 at 09:20:59 PST, seller added the following information: i want to be as honest about this car as i can, as listed the heater does not work nor does the radio. All the gauges work perfectly including the speedometer. I do have the stock radiator that does not leak and a brand new set of exhaust tips for a 68-70 charger that are included in this sale. thank you
