Well, for starters if you have participated in any of the BMW GS Rally's in Canada or the USA, you will dump the hard bags after the first rally. They are cumbersome, Get in the way when navigating through rough and wooded terrain, If you have ever had them and put anything any them without being wrapped in cloth, it beats the heck out of any items in the case. Almost every rally racer uses the Soft Bags on the side. Just an FYI. Check out the Ontario GS Challenge, Soft bags on the side for the pros, hard cases for the amateurs. The 81 Listed in the stock media information above is inaccurate. The 81 HP was at the onset of the power band. Further details on it's stock power can be researched online.
