Vehicle Detail

138571B133378 Up for auction is a 1971 Monte Carlo SS, partially restored. This car belongs to a good friend of mine, it has been under restoration for the past 20 years and due to a recent sickness he has decided to sell off the Monte and let someone else finish it. The car has undergone a full frame off restoration with a completely sandblasted frame painted to the correct color all new chassis, everything has been replaced or reconditioned, down to the nuts and bolts. This car is a TRUE 1971 SS and we have the build sheet to prove it (see pics), it has the Z20 option. The car has the correct 3:73 12-Bolt Rear, leveling system valving, shocks, springs, and more to completely overhaul this beauty. The original 454 has been completely rebuilt with new everything runs strong and even has working A/C with modern refrigerant. The Trans is the TH400 and it too has been rebuilt and ready to go. The car runs and drives perfect. The only things under the hood that are not installed are the inner wheel wells which he has and the load leveling compressor which may need to be gone through. I have a complete set of pics that document the restoration as seen here, all available. The body was professionally done with all GM parts, it is laser straight and rock solid brand new, ZERO Rust in this body. Paint is the correct color perfectly applied, ready for finishing. It was at this point where the work began to slow up and now needs someone to pick up and finish the car. The car and paint are set up for the original vinyl top to be re-installed. The instrument cluster was completely rebuilt by the Clock Doc an $800 investment to ensure perfect working gauges. As for trim, he has GM NOS headlight bezels, hood ornament, tailpipe tips and grill ornament. The grill that comes with the car is nice but he thinks it is not the correct year, it’s either 70 or 72. All the parts to put back together minus the bumpers, you will have to get those. He is even including a parts car with the sale to take if you want. Original Rally Wheels are with the car. Here is a good source of information on these cars courtesy of Gen 1 Monte Carlo http://www.firstgenmc.com/tech/ss454.shtml If you are local and would like to come out and take a look just email me, I can set up a showing. Shipping is also an option I can handle for you, once the car is paid in full I can arrange shipping at the buyer’s expense of course and I will try and find the most economical option. Thanks for Looking. I have receipts for the Engine work and for the instrument cluster. Complete photograph record of the restoration process to this point. Please Text or Call me at 267-515-3571 and I will get these out to you. Thanks for all the Interest in the Car, it will be a great car when complete.
