Vehicle Detail
This is a no reserve auction for two bikes. Both bikes run and everything works on both of them (all electrics, brakes, trans, motor). I have owned the R5 for four years, re-painted the frame/engine with spray paint a year ago. Not a show bike but it looks and runs good. I only ride it at meets and around the neighbor hood. I believe the mileage is incorrect but the speedo works fine. Chrome on both bikes has pitting and is not perfect. The GT should clean up pretty nice but as I mentioned I believe it has bad crank seals. Both bikes start with one or two kicks, the electric starter works fine on the GT750 but the battery is bad, not powerful enough, kick starts fine. I would like to keep both bikes but have my eye on a dual sport and can't afford everything I want. The GT750 is very cool but would take up to much of my time and money to do it right. The R5 is a nice clean little bike, has a newer battery, seat cover and front tire. I am going to try and post a video of both bikes starting and running on youtube this week, today or tomorrow, just search for "XRRRX". The R5 is in my name I purchased it from a dealer about four years ago. The GT750 is not in my name but has a clean signed title (not dated), I purchased it last year at a swap meet. This is a no reserve auction, my starting price is very good, if you are the lucky one to get these two bikes for this price you will have gotten a very good deal. Please contact me if you would like to come out and see the bikes before bidding. I tried to be as honest as possible about both bikes. I'll try to answer any questions when I check the posting in the evening. I forgot to mention two things. I did a compression test on the GT750, it had 130psi for each of the three cylinders. The badges on the R5 do not fit flush, I think age made them dry out and bend away from the tank. Good luck and happy bidding!!!
