NO RESERVEThis is a 2004 Volkswagen GTI 1.8 Turbo 5 speed manual. So the story on the car goes like this, bought the car about a year ago with 170,000 miles off a older man(original owner) who used it as commuter car( he drove 2 hours each way). Car was in immaculate condition when I bought it, just high mileage. So up until last week the car ran great, then one day the clutch was getting harder to push down and getting it in gear was becoming a challenge. I had this happen to me with a Saab I used to own and it turned out to be the motor mounts. Logically, I replaced the 3 main motor mounts and it hasn't fixed the problem. I was told by a mechanic its the "throw out bearing" in the transmission. The check engine light is on because of an exhaust leak. I just put in new wheel bearings, rear calipers, motor mounts, fresh oil change, spark plugs, and coolant flush 2 weeks prior to this happening. I've now decided to buy a new car and not deal with this issue, so the car is in my driveway and will need to be towed out. Besides the throw out bearing that the rest of the car is very solid. The motor runs very well, and the body is in GREAT condition. The interior is also in AWESOME condition, heated black leather bucket seats which are super comfortable with zero tears. The wheels are in very good shape with a descent amount of tread left on the tires, heated mirrors, just an all around clean car. Perfect for any mechanic to fix and flip. Car is obviously sold as is but I mean you get what you see and that's a clean Gti that needs a little bit of work.
