This is a 1988 Honda 250R Fourtrax. When I purchased this quad years ago, it only came with a bill of sale. Once I started to build this quad, I took everything off to start completely fresh. Once I had the original square stock chassis sandblasted, there were a lot of cracks that were found. I made the decision to retire the original chassis and I purchased a new Lonestar 2001 chrome moly tube chassis for the build. I contacted the DCNR of Pennsylvania about this, and they said they would issue me a new title, and they did. Again, this IS a 1988 250R on a Lonestar aftermarket chassis, but the official title says it is a 2001 because of the new chassis. I hope that makes sense to you. I built this quad to shred pretty much anything that would ever come up along side of it, and I wanted to keep the original plastic/decal look because I always liked the way the 88's looked from factory. This quad was ran just enough to "break" the engine in. I was the victim of an unfortunate automobile accident, and because of this accident I cannot ride anything like this ever again. Since this was my favorite atv of all time, I drained the fluids out of it, put it up on jack stands, bought a cover for it, and placed it into storage because I didn't want to sell it at that time. I recently brought it out of storage, put all new fluids in it, and fired it up. While in storage, the right front fender developed a crack from an overtighted bolt. I drilled at the end of the crack to stop it from progressing. Everything was new when I built this. The suspension is set up for a 175-180lb rider.
