Vehicle Detail
Beautiful 1972 ford f-250 highboy, ranger XLT for sale. Truck is all original. 146,000 miles, 390, power brakes, manual steering, PTO, 4speed. I cant say enough about how clean and great looking this truck is, drives wonderfully as well. Interior is excellent, extremely clean and everything works, gauges, lights, signals, horn, all of it. Has a really cool and rare dealer installed A/C unit under the dash, compressor is disconnected, but I have all the parts. Heater works perfect on all settings. The dashboard is PERFECT, never seen a stock dash better than this. Truck starts right up, is a bit cold blooded as most of these old beasts are, but runs fantastic when warmed up. Engine is clean and quiet, sounds great through dual cherry bomb exhaust, old school sound. No smoke, weird noises, oil consumption or anything funny. Runs so nice, it may have been rebuilt at one time, but I don't have that much history on this rig. Has an edelbrock 4 bbl carb, electronic ignition, full tune up just completed, all hoses are new. This thing runs down the road straight and very smooth, its impressive how nicely it drives. Cab is extremely solid, only rust on the whole truck is along the top of the windshield under the drip rail and a little along the bed seam. Floors, rockers, cab corners, doors etc are solid as it gets. Paint in a little thin in places on the creme top side, but still shows really well, the yellow is still deep and rich with a good shine. Body is very, very straight, as is all the trim, save for a few scrapes and bumps on the wide ranger trim. All the woodgrain inserts are still there and in good shape, bit of fading on the drivers door piece. Tires and wheels are brand new. 4WD and PTO both work just swell. I've owned several of these old F-250's, and this has by far been the most interestingly optioned and cleanest originals I have yet to come across. This is a rare and excellent survivor that needs nothing but to be driven and enjoyed. A great example of a clean and well kept highboy, very hard to find one like this. This truck is not one to be missed. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, additional information or pictures of the truck, happy to provide. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding On Nov-04-15 at 14:21:51 PST, seller added the following information: I have an interested local buyer for the truck, no final deal has been made, but if it goes through, the auction will be ended early.
