Being an RV dealership in southern New Jersey, we just traded this beautiful 2001 Corvette convertible from it's 56 year old owner. The gentleman was diagnosed with skin cancer & cannot be exposed to the sun, so he decided to trade his old RV & his toy car in on a new RV. He spent over $9500 in performance enhancements since his purchase in 2011. These include a Johnny O'Connell Signature Stage 1 suspension package consisting of heavy duty sway bars, front & rear shocks. ARH 1 3/4" headers, Corsa exhaust system, & factory brake ducts as on the ZO6 (functional). Despite these performance enhancements, this man never raced the car & states that he never had the car over 100 mph. It was just his baby, was very proud of the car & it shows. The car currently has 63,000 + miles with this owner having put 4000 miles on in the 4 years of ownership. I have been driving it over the last week so mileage will change slightly. Being a car guy all of my life & currently owning a couple of vintage Corvettes, I know a genuinely a nice car versus something that has been ridden hard & put away wet. This is not that kind of car. It is an extremely nice automobile that offers no apologies. It never saw rain during his time of ownership. He was pretty fanatical. Tires are in great condition. No curb rash. Top is in great condition. Never any paint work & comes with a clean Carfax. The only thing that I know of (which I hope to have resolved before auction end) is the left rear tire pressure sensor shows low pressure despite having the correct pressure. On Oct-29-15 at 07:58:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Upon bringing the car back from the shop that fixed the tire pressure sensor, I could now read the exact mileage on the car to be 64871.
