are viewing a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado Short Bed Step side pickup with 99,740 miles that is completely original and unmolested --- It has ZERO RUST and is very straight-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The first thing I want to make clear is that my definition of ZERO RUST means all original sheet metal & body panels with no previous rust or rust repairs and no patch panels-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This truck is equipped with a 350 cubic inch (5.7 litre) V8, automatic transmission, power windows & locks, tilt steering & cruise and AM/FM radio PAINT --- paint is thin and the clear coat is coming off but the silver paint below the side trim moldings is excellentBODY PANELS --- all original with no signs of previous repairs --- the only damage is to the lower edge of the right door as shown in the pictures which is an easy fixGRILL --- original and in very nice condition with no cracks or chips & no peeling chromeBUMPERS --- straight with very nice impact strips and front guardsBED --- super nice --- no cracks in the fiberglass --- inside is scratched but not beat up --- front bed rail next to the cab is perfectly straight --- no holes have been drilled in the bedTAILGATE --- very straight with no dents or dings --- opens, closes and latches perfectBED STEP PADS --- all 4 of the rubber step pads are perfectREAR BUMPER STEP PAD --- perfectSPARE TIRE --- appears to be original and never down (Uniroyal Tiger Paw 235/75x15 with 100 percent tread)TIRES --- all 4 are new and have only 300 hundred miles on them but are 215/75x15 which is the wrong sizeJACK --- complete and mounted in compartment behind seatGLASS --- all original and in good condition --- no cracks but the windshield does have one rock chipINTERIOR --- headliner like new, door panels perfect, dash perfect with no cracks, all plastic trim in perfect condition, steering wheel perfect, seat is stained and worn, carpet is dirty and faded, so recover the seat and install new carpet and the interior will be perfectLIGHTS --- all interior and exterior lights work except for the cargo light (probably needs a bulb)DASH LIGHTS & GAUGES --- all dash lights work, all gauges work with the exception of the oil pressure gaugePOWER EQUIPMENT --- power windows work perfect (not slow or sticky) power locks work perfect --- wipers & washers work good ENGINE --- starts right up and runs smooth & quiet but does smoke some mostly when first started --- probably valve guide seals which is typical for a small block ChevyTRANSMISSION --- shifts good and firm but no kickdown (probably linkage adjustment?)A/C --- compressor does not engage --- has been retrofitted with 134AEXHAUST --- a little noisy, needs tailpipe and maybe a gasket up front, otherwise looks truck drives solid & straight & stops good --- no squeaks or rattles --- we drove it about 100 miles yesterday with no problems and I see no reason the new owner would have any problems driving home any distance --- out of town buyers can fly in and drive home, I'll pick you up at the Kansas City International Airport
