I just bought this car from a friend who drove it down from Seattle to Los Angeles this summer. It's in great condition, cosmetically, and has only had two owners prior to me. I drove it up to Big Bear and back a week ago, and it performed beautifully. However, this past weekend, it broke down on the 10 on my way to Joshua Tree and my mechanic says it needs a new engine, or a rebuild (he estimates $2,000 for parts and labor). Also, drivers side door should be repaired or replaced (electrical issue won't allow it to be unlocked with the key—only from inside). Front bumper needs to be reattached, which is minor work. Front right turn signal cover needs to be reattached (it's in the trunk). Suspension work at some point, though I'm told it's not urgent (control arm bushings I believe). It needs to be towed to its new location (Mid-City, Miracle Mile-Los Angeles), as it's not starting due to the engine failure. So... local buyers only. All in all, it's a good, strong, well-maintained truck with under 200,000 miles on it. I wish I could keep it, but I'm not a mechanic and I don't want to spend any more money on something I only use for camping on the weekends. Great car for a mechanic who has some time to work on the engine. It's got good bones!~
