1992 BMW R100GS-Paris-Dakar, 82K miles. This is an unrestored bike revered in the Airhead community as just broken-in and a survivor with good patina. The original owner passed in 2001 and the bike was recently purchased at an estate auction. Recent service includes both Continental TKC80 tires professionally installed, new wet cell battery, fluids changed and fuel system cleaned. Decals: Gelände/Straße (offroad/on-road) factory decal is in good condition and placed over the original BMW emblems, is Victorinox decals that have been added since the G/S’s are referred to as the “Swiss Army Knife” of the motorcycling world. Runs, idles, and shifts excellent. Bike is in sunny San Diego, California if buyer wants to tour our backroads, and beaches before shipping the bike to home, the seller would help organize a memorable vacation.Seller suggests viewing / test riding in person before bidding. Seller willing to help crate, and ship overseas. On Oct-26-15 at 20:03:06 PDT, seller added the following information: The center stand has been modified with additional steel nicely welded on the contact areas that frequently wear out, the side stand / kickstand has a small glob of steel added to keep the stand from extending past the arcs datum. The ignition key doesn't work on the seat lock, gas cap, or glove box latch. TERMS & CONDITIONS The vehicle is being sold "AS-IS" with no warranties, express or implied. The ignition key operates the "glove box" lock, but its the clasp that's not engaging the lock tab...Key is missing on locking gas cap, and the seat lock. Headlight "high" beam stopped working last night, low beam works fine.
