I set this R60/5 up as a scrambler 15 years ago and rode her all over. She had very low mileage when I got her and still has quite low mileage at 56K. Four years ago I sold her to a friend who had wanted the bike for years. One year later he took a job overseas. I bought the scrambler back from him. Two years ago, after having just installed a new Odyssey battery, I took her on one of my 20 mile loops. Coming back I noted a little smoke from the headlight shell. I pulled over, disconnected the negative lead and took the headlight off - some of the wires in the headlight shell had melted together (not a mess, but something that needed to be addressed). I pushed the bike the last 100 yards (lucky!) back to the house and rolled her into the back of the shop. With 10 other bikes demanding my attention, there she has sat since. Decided it was time to let someone else put her back on the road. It's a cool old bike - special order Hagon shocks 1" longer than stock; short wheelbase subframe with long wheelbase swingarm and driveshaft (increased angle for the longer shocks); folding, cleated footpegs; Supertrapp mufflers on stock /5 headers; /2 handlebars; Avon Distanzia rear tire, Bridgestone Trail Wing front tire; electronic ignition; Moose Racing rear fender tool pouch; saddlebag mounts (I used to run metal saddlebags on the bike); new timing chain and carbs rebuilt not long before she was relegated to the back of the shop. With rewiring and an oil change you could ride her anywhere.
