This auction is for our Super Nice Black Honda DN-01. The bike looks and runs like new. It may have a scratch somewhere, but I couldn't find one while cleaning it up for the photos. We own several motorcycles and candidly I bought this one because I had never heard of it, or seen one before. The plan was for my wife to ride it sometimes but that has not been the case. This is way to nice of a machine to sit in our garage on a battery tender. If you are not familiar with the DN-01 you can research it online to read all of the great reviews and what people say about it. It was introduced as a concept bike and ultimately made it to production, in Europe first, then stateside. The initial asking price for these futuristic motorcycles was over 14K. Besides the looks, the stand out feature of this bike is the automatic transmission. Unlike a large scooter it has three drive modes. First, Drive ( which actually is like a large, comfortable scooter ), next Sport ( which is drive with different gear ratios to make the bike more "peppy") and finally manual. In the manual mode you shift through the gears with a button above the blinker switch like paddle shifters on a race car. The on board computer lets you shift between the three modes while driving down the road. I have taken this bike on an 80 mile trip ( at 70 mph ) and played with all three settings. If you are like me, once you get into stop and go traffic you will just put it back in drive and let the computer do the work. It also has anti locking breaks and a break pedal that activates the rear breaks and one of the front disks like on the Gold Wing. This Honda is located in Lakeway Texas which is a suburb of Austin.
