This cool RV conversion van has the famous Mercedes 5 cly diesel engine and it is in excellent running and driving condition with no check engine lights. I use it for work just about everyday.I have only seen a few of these rare Colstar Conversions sell on ebay and they sold a few years back for $30,000. Where else can you find a van that is rated at 30MPG Highway and 25 MPG city and have enough head room to stand up. The short wheel base makes for excellent fuel economy and if properly cared for this van can go 700k miles on the original engine. Super rare 118 wheel base no longer made in the USA. Highly Sought after shorty wheel base to easily maneuver parking lots or off road driving with traction control. Awesome turning radius.Excellent low 76543 original miles diesel Sprinter. I did my research and talked to a Mercedes Mechanic and the 2004 was the best year to get in his opinion. You do not need to add the expensive fuel scrubber fluid that the newer diesels are required to use. The 5 cly turbo is peppy but still gets the best fuel mileage. Bullet proof Mercedes diesel engine that has been known to exceed the 700k mile mark and still keep ticking.Loaded with just about every option available at in 2004. Including a Esbar Heater that will heat the van with the engine off. Great if you are in snow country, you just start the engine and let it run for 5 Minutes, turn off the engine and the Esbar heater will keep the van warm using the timer. Check out the picture of the dash to see all of the options ,Two air conditioners, two heaters, rear cargo barrier, 12 volt to 110 volt sine wave converter, back up alarm, back up camera (sometimes it does not work), sunroof, DVD player, extra passenger seat, sleeping bunk or desk, traction control, new allterrain 4x4 tires,sirus satellite radio< rear DVD player but the previous owner removed the Monitor. Tinted window are nice because you can see out and enjoy the outdoors but from the outside you can not see inside. Interior panels and insulation and a rare I have a cassette deck to Iphone converter that I will include in case you want to use Spottify or Pandora. This is a super rare Costar conversion made for Government or Police surveillance. These were parked and used to gather government research data hence the low miles. Mine has a red police looking light on the dash and it looks like AR-15 gun racks and a shotgun rack in the back. It has a onboard air tank and air guage, a desk that I converted to a sleeping bunk with a very comfortable chair that can rotate and lock into multiple positions.I open the side door and kick back and watch the waves when I camp at the beach with the kids. It is also very easy to stand and change in the rear if you want to use this for camping or surfing. My mechanic believes that it has a rear locker, I have had it offroad a few and it does great ! I mainly use it for my business but also beach camp and bring it to my sons surf contests. I want to keep this rig but I just bought a 1983 Toyota diesel landcruiser HJ 47 troop carrier and my wife says one has to go.
